Basically, Western and Korean fans are in a similar situation

Talking about the Western fandom as a whole, not just 4chan --

1) We have never had the arcade version in the west, and Korea only has PriChan (프리채널) machines.

2) Localisation is bad. Korea has a dub, but in the west, we only received an English dub of Pretty Rhythm (프리티 리듬), and official subtitles for AiPara (아이파라) and season 1 of PriChan. Everything else is made by fans. 

3) We have no access to live shows. We can only watch shows that are broadcast on sites that accept foreigners (mixch, mahocast), and BD releases are inconsistent. In my opinion, these are very important parts of the series.

No BD releases means you can't officially watch shows once they're gone because the archives are temporary. This is a problem if you enjoyed the show, or didn't know about it until the archive was gone.

4) Lower standards than Japanese communities. In Japan, it's frowned upon to upload archives, share songs for people who cannot buy them, and reproduce interviews or scan books.

Because the Ciao manga was never fully compiled, you can't read it unless you buy a year's worth of the magazine, and the Pucchigumi manga was never compiled at all despite running for years.

5) The concept of "community" is stronger. On Twitter, Japanese people only interact with small communities of their friends. While the 4chan community is very small these days, it still feels like a community. Of course, there are many people who only interact within their own friend groups and such, but it's nice to have a larger community. (Though, Japan does have 5ch and 2chan, so it may not be relevant)

Our own jokes develop over time, and we begin to use nicknames for users as a whole (such as ainon), so even though the contents are strange (dirty and dangerous place!!) I think it's easy to feel close to other members.

On 4chan, there is a popular joke that involves Azuki being kidnapped by Seriko. The names of i*Ris and SoLaMi Dressing are switched out at random, so sometimes you will read a version where an i*Ris member appears as their PriPara counterpart while other members remain the same.

I think here, jokes mostly extend to characters being called by certain names, instead of what is called "copypasta"

There are also instances of the same nicknames being used, such as Kubota being referred to as a traitor after appearing at Love Live's show instead of the Winter Live.

6) R18 content is accepted and sometimes encouraged. Often Westerners and certain Japanese communities do not want Pretty Series characters to be sexualised in any way. In fact, I have seen people in Western communities who dislike coords that are official, such as Summer Maid (サマメ, I don't know how to spell it in Korean), because they see it as sexualisation.

Though, I think it's a problem with the person and not the designers if you think it's sexualisation.

The Pretty All Friends dakimakura incident is also legendary.

In the West, and to be more specific, English-speaking countries in particular, people are overly sensitive to sexualisation. They act like porn of a fictional character is the end of the world. I haven't seen it happen with Pretty Series, but there are people who will attack you if you want to ship characters (I think you usually call it character combinations)

I just want to see sexy pictures and there's nothing wrong with that.

We also both use sites where R18 is banned, but people will post pictures of underwear or implied lewd situations. But we don't have a site like 파라과이.
